The energy at Lakeland Square Mall was electric today as families, community members, and the Lakeland PAL team gathered for our annual Free School Supplies Giveaway Event. As summer winds down and the new school year approaches, making sure every child walks into the classroom prepared and confident is at the heart of our mission.
Thanks to the overwhelming support of our local community, volunteers, and partners, the event was a resounding success!
Making an Impact Together
Starting a new school year should be an exciting milestone, but the cost of necessary supplies can quickly add financial strain to local families. Today, we tackled that challenge head-on.

100+ Students Served: Over 100 youth walked away equipped with essential school supplies, including backpacks, notebooks, pencils, rulers, and calculators.

Community Connection: Families connected directly with PAL officers, mentors, and program leaders right next to Urban Air inside the mall.

First-Come Support: Thanks to early turnouts, supplies were distributed quickly and directly into the hands of children who needed them most.
More Than Supplies: Lakeland PAL as a Community Anchor
While providing notebooks and pencils solves an immediate need, Lakeland PAL’s vision extends far beyond the classroom door. We strive to serve as a permanent, reliable resource for families across the area by building character, fostering positive relationships between youth and law enforcement, and providing safe environments to grow.
